Day 87, first of October
28,5 km walked, from Port la nouvelle to port Leucat. The wind last night was madness but today it was warm again! I guess maybe 25-27 degrees!
It’s beautiful, the trees, the mountains ( snow on top?) the sea, the views.
The land is really changing I can feel the sea even when I can’t see it always, different plants, and I passed a vineyard where the grapes had dried on the land… so sad. It must mean people losing their livelihood. This morning
I saw Flamingoes! I saw one fly over, it’s like a prehistoric bird! Then I talked to mama, it was good to see her but… I can’t really talk to my mama anymore as her illness is taking her over. ( Alzheimer’s)
I’m at a campsite, it is the last night, tomorrow it’s closing.
I spoke to Edu who will meet me at the other side of the border soon!
I think I should be in Spain Tuesday night! ( if all goes according to plan)
I’m going to sleep early.
I met a nice German guy who cycled for three years with his partner a while ago, He didn’t really have time to stop but did anyway, while I was having lunch.
