Aci Castello

Day 473, 23-10-‘23, 20.2 km walked , from Catania to Capomulini.
My leg is still very blue but walking on it is ok. I slept at a deserted campervan parkup and ate last nights left overs.
I visited the castle at Aci Castello, there was a Homeric myth. According to the legend, it was here that jealousy drove the Cyclops (a one-eyed giant), Polyphemus, to kill a young man called Acis. Acis was then transformed by the compassionate gods into the river that still bears his name.
And the Norman castle was built ( black lava) in 1076 and contained a little museum with lava stones with different properties ( ferro Barium etc).
I had some gelato yum!
Erica send me some pictures of my time in Catania ❤️
I wonder where I will sleep tonight
