Day 262, 25-3-23, 8 km walked in Marrakesh. After Breakfast I left for the hostel I booked, and Marrakesh was very welcoming with all it’s colours, also the people loved my Arlette and my horn!
I sat down for coffee (here at least there is coffee for tourists!).
The hostel I am in now is very lovely, and I can leave Arlette here for a few days so that is fine!
I tried to find someone to go out for dinner with but in the end I was fine by myself, I think Ramadan is a very special time to be here.
Children playing in the street, the men coming out of the Mosque, people offering to share their food.
When I got back to the hostel I joined a fellow long distance walker on the roof! And we swapped stories! He’s Brasilian, he has walked 1,5 years in South America , and has just arrived in Africa. he intends to walk 10 years! All the way to China and Asia! Such a coincidence to meet!
Some tears started flowing today…
