Day 598, 24-2-24, 21 km walked, what a wonderful day! I walked from the house early, I was walking at 8!
didn’t meet many people, untill I got to Colle di Val Di Elsa, where I went to the supermarket and then had lunch there hiding for the rain. I left my Arlette and visited the historical centre up a hill, a long strip surrounded by walls, very pretty but not very alive.
I continued my walk I was along the Via Francigena again, a part of which was along an old traintrack ( nice and flat)
But then the path turned and I was climbing and decending again! Arlette developed a little squeak but after I phoned a friend ( and climbed a ferocious hill it was gone, the path took a turn again down a muddy slope and as the night was setting in I found a flat piece of grass where I put my tent!
Food and a little stitching, I did hear something moving in the trees but It didn’t come close, I woke to rain and hope that I can get out of here again..(not too much mud)
