Day 609, 6-3-24, 18.7 km walked from Florence to Caldine via Fiesole.
I left quite early and was the first served at the post office to send a box home,
It was quite hard to get back into the rhythm of walking, a lot of climbing, and I took a wrong turn which meant ore climbing but I meant a beautiful view over Florence and walking past a Roman theatre in Fiesole and after that there where som narrow roads steep down!
There was a little bit of rai during the day but not too much
I put my tent down near the village next to the river, and the carabinieri came to check on me! With big lights, they thought I’d called out for help.. somehow they knew I live in Belgium, strange
I slept well although my body is hurting all over, my feet knees hips shoulders… it’s part of the game I suppose!
I’d better get going!
