Day 73 (19 September) of the walking home project 3.7 km walked in Molenbeek from la maison des cultures and back there,
I walked there from home though so my total is 12,5km, there were a lot of fleamarkets to walk past very enjoyable!
Once I had collected Sybille I walked around, when my phone got stolen in July It took about a week before I could get back on my find my phone app but when I did It showed an address where my phone had been in Molenbeek, I went past… I didn’t go to the police at the time. Because I don’t think it helps me or the thieves. It felt weird,
Later there was a very odd encounter with a young man, who I think recognised me with Sybille, he made a remark about my phone,
So odd…
I sat down several times to work, and kids approached me with a strange question:
Gratuits? For free?
They don’t know what is to be had but if it’s for free they want part of it! But then they don’t engage with me past that.
I went to the Park (de l’elephant) I was at before and there was a community project about food, I joined them met some lovely people from Luxembourg Italy Iran and more
Sahand answered my question, I don’t need anything specific he said, I can feel at home anywhere! How amazing is that!
Later I met Rachida, she said she is also an artist and we just talked about life, sometimes it is just about the connection and I forget to ask the question.
I’m back in Molenbeek at the open molen at the Parvis Saint Jean Baptist. See you there!
