Getting out the door took longer than planned today — and then a flat tyre at the corner of my street sent me straight back home. But it turned out to be a gift: I found some good drawers along the way, and I always say yes to good drawers. They’ll become cupboards, storage, something useful.
By the time I actually got going it was already 1pm. Molenbeek isn’t far from home as the crow flies, but the spiral had me heading the other way first. 14.4 km in the end, mellow weather for once, lovely encounters along the route, lots of compliments given out freely. Being so late meant I couldn’t stop to work as I usually do — just kept walking, kept meeting people.
Reached De Loods around 9pm. Sybille is tucked away in the bicycle shed now, resting up, because today, tomorrow and the day after I’ll be at the Open Street Fest instead. Looking forward to it!
