So, since I last posted, a lot of things have happened, and not all “The Walking Home Project” related, but some of it, yes. So I’m going to start with the 27th, I had my last workshop with the Zinneke Parade, and the 28th we celebrated Vincent Hermans’ birthday. And the 29th, I worked in my workshop at home, and I made a new bag for Sybille, but I won’t talk about that. I won’t show you that until tomorrow, because I didn’t take any pictures. Huh. And then yesterday I went and gave a workshop in Krea en Brunch in the Ring Gemeenschapcentrum, and that was very fun. Apart from that, I was really tired from the day before, the Zinneke Parade. The Zinneke Parade, I got up quite early, got ready, went out, took the tram in full costume with all my gear to make more little puppets, little giants, beginnings of dreams. And I went to the House of Compassion, where we all got together, and I painted faces for about two hours straight of all the participants. It was so amazing. We have such amazing people in our group. We had the Hubbies. They are mentally and physically impaired. I don’t know how to say it nicely. People, they come to this center for daycare, and they’re so sweet. There was one guy who got his face painted, and he was so excited when he went out. It was like he was convinced that everybody out there had come to see his face because it was painted, and it was so gorgeous to see that joy of… Amazing. And then we got all the masks ready, and the nests were already in place, and we walked to where we started from, and we started at 3:00. And I had a great deal of fun, and I was making little giants and asking people their names, and then getting more little giants from the nests and putting them up in different spots and handing them to people and talking with people. It was great. I had so much fun with all the others, with the nests and the singing. That was beautiful. And the dancing, that was great. And the bells and the horns and the klaxon, what you call it, the beepers. It was just amazing. In the morning when I woke up, it was really, really, really bucketing it down, so I was a bit scared. But by the time we went out, the sun was out, and it was beautiful, and it only started raining again when we were eating next to the Ancienne Belgique. But I didn’t stay around for the party afterwards because I knew I had to do a workshop in the morning. So I went home and went to bed at a quite decent time, actually. So that’s it. I’ll add some pictures, although I didn’t take many either, but I did take some. And yeah
