day 30 quarter of the way!

Day 30 🌀

I said I’d write in the evenings so I don’t forget things. And then yesterday happened.

It was one of those three-day days.

Woke up early, it was raining, Vincent said it would rain all day. So I took my time. Did some things, organised some bits and pieces, and eventually made my way to GC De Rinck on bus 49.

I’m getting to know the Brussels public transport system so well. Honestly, a perk of the job. 🚌

Arrived, set up outside — but the wind and cold got the better of me pretty quickly. Changed plan, brought Sybille l’atelier mobile inside, and had a really lovely time.

Something has shifted lately. I’ve let go of trying to make what I think I should be making, and just… let happen what happens. So I played. Made some things. Found a roll of paper I think I’m going to add in. Organised my new bag. It was genuinely fun. 🎉

And then it hit me — yesterday was Day 30. I’m walking 120 days total. That means I’m a quarter of the way in. There’s still a lot to figure out, but I’m settling into it. And that feels really good.

One thing I do need to sort: I’ve applied for subsidies but nothing has come through yet, so I’m mostly working without pay right now. That’s not fair on Vincent for too long. So — some work will be going up for sale soon. Drop me a DM if something speaks to you. 🙏

After packing up around 5, I went home, had the evening to myself (Vincent wasn’t back until midnight), cut up pictures from an encyclopedia I found and sorted them into categories. Wanted to make clothes. Worked on a sculpture instead.

Went to bed when Vincent got home.

One very long day. ❤️
