Yesterday was all colour and noise and painted faces 🎨 The Zinneke soumonce — the call to carnival — brought three groups of 60 to 80 people each into the streets for a full run-through with everything in it: music, masks, movement. The weather was on our side and it felt like a good omen for what’s coming.
30 May. Nine groups from all over Brussels. Centre of the city. Come.
Today I’m walking to the Parvis de l’Église Notre-Dame in Laken, where I’ll spend the day with Sybille l’atelier mobile. This morning Vincent brought me flowers — from the children, of course, it being Mother’s Day 🌸 And now he’s off to finish his show with Les Six Faux Nez, premiering Thursday in Ath. Big week all around.
